The Man in the Shadow

The Man in the Shadow
We write of माँ, her warmth, her tears,
Her lullabies that calm our fears.
Her hands that heal, her endless grace,
The love that time cannot erase.

But somewhere, standing just apart,
A silent strength, a guarded heart—
He builds the world we walk upon,
Yet speaks so little of what he’s done.

No verses praise his sleepless nights,
No songs recall his hidden fights.
He wears his worries like a shield,
And never lets his burdens yield.

He counts the coins, he bears the load,
Walks miles on an unseen road.
Not for glory, not for name,
He plays life’s tough, unspoken game.

His love is quiet, firm, and deep,
In promises he strives to keep.
No grand display, no loud embrace,
Yet safety lives in his embrace.

He stands in shadows, far from light,
Turns every wrong into a right.
And though his voice may not be loud,
His silence makes a family proud.

So here’s to him—the unsung guide,
Who swallows storms he feels inside.
A father’s love, though rarely shown,
Is the strongest love we’ve ever known.
