The man who was never a boy

14 years old. Fifth time locked up
this time no sign of coming home,
His family has all been there
there's no panic or shock
"this day was coming, you should've known"
"The cycle won't be broken
this is where your loyalty lies",
"you'll be fine, no worries
whoever's against you, surely dies"
5 and a half years later
all innocence lost,
I survived, lost my sanity
we all lose because ignorance costs
I carried it on my shoulders
you can tell where I'd been,
don't worry if you don't see the signs
its inked all in my skin
loose screws, scars and tattoos
courtesy of the pen,
hard bodied hard headed
that place makes animals of men
The man in the mirror
he'll be a tough act to follow,
unfortunately nobody knows
all the memories he's had to bottle,
He beat them all
was never knocked off his throne,
They see all the courage and violence
empty eyes and a heart of stone,
A King hailing from broken homes
they see a lion...
he constantly feels his broken bones,
he never asked for this
a life of hostility and hate,
the consequences of being like this
is knowing you have a predetermined fate
