My mother has been coming along slowly trying to do things on her own. Like last week she came outside for the first time in awhile. I pray that she will be able to do more on her own.
I had a night dream that I was coming home from an abstract funeral. I call it an abstract funeral is because most of the scenes was cut off into a class room setting. How all of a sudden I get to a funeral and jumped into a classroom setting? Dreams are eerie that way.
I entered a funeral home. I did not know who's funeral was it, but all of my relatives was there. All the familiar faces in my family was there. Inside of the funeral was a closed casket, and food tables set up like a repast. The funeral and repast was all in one room together. Everyone was laughing at me talking but who was it in the casket? I kept pondering on that question after I woke up. After the funeral, someone drove me home in my family. I did not know who it was, but someone drove me home.
When I got home, my aunt Willa was sitting on the couch by the window.
"Aw you back?" My aunt asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"Did you get some restaurant food?" She asked.
"No."
From the kitchen area I saw the light was on.
"You cooking?" I asked my aunt.
"Naw, yo momma in there cookin," she pointed directly to the kitchen area.
"SHE COOKIN? REALLY? MY MOMMA COOKIN?" I asked in astonishment.
I was still talking to my aunt on the couch, and my mom yelled out from the kitchen. "CIARA, YOU BACK?"
"Yeah."
"YOU BROUGHT SOME RESTAURANT FOOD WITH YOU?" She asked.
"NO."
"WHY?" My mother asked.
"Just because I go out doesn't mean I have to bring back restaurant food all the time," I said.
"BUT THAT'S WHAT I WON'T," she yelled, getting angry.
"It look like I don't need to cause you cookin," looking at the pots on stove, and watched her cook.
"YEAH BUT I WON'T SOME RESTAURANT FOOD," my mother said.
That was the end of it. I told my aunt Sandra about it on the phone yesturday, and she asked me did I rebuke that dream? I said yeah I always rebuke my dreams. Her interpretation was that she believed that it was a message meaning that my mother is going to get better. The part in the beginning of the funeral home was not a good message.
