As I lie in complete silence. The room is filled with nothing but darkness. My blankets covering my body and keeping me safe. Keeping me warm. My pillow nestled just behind my neck.
My thoughts wonder.
Even though the rest of the world feels completely still.
My mind moves like the planet earth.
Rotating.
Moving.
Even though my whole body is so undeniably still.
Like a game of cat and mouse
A constant chase between the two.
One thought being caught then let go by the other.
My eyes are heavy. And here I lay.
Still.
Completely still.
In utter silence.
While the rest of the world is sleeping.
It feels like I'm awake in my own dream
Waiting.
Patiently waiting.
And Hoping.
Patiently hoping.
That this game of cat and mouse will soon stop.
The cat catches the mouse.
Yet the world just continues to be still.
And the earth just carrys on moving.....
