THE NAMELESS

Profound it is dark & obscure
things essences all endure
Those universal truths unfold
Of what when seen shall then be told
Now it is so, twas so of old
Eternal being it passes not away
So energy flows in such a beautiful array
Things form & never know decay

Always without desire we must be found
If its deep mystery we would sound
But if desires in us be
It's outer fringe is all we shall see
The work is done but how no one can see
Tis this that makes its power not cease to be
Much speech to swift exhaustion we see
O our being to guard & keep it free
•~π~•
The valley spirit dies not aye the same
The great mystery to this we name
It's gates to which at first they opened forth
It's called the root to heaven & earth
Long & unbroken does its power remain
Used gently & with out the touch of pain
Make mad the mind, objects rare & strange
Sought for our conduct will to evil change
•~π~•
We look at it & we do not see it
& we name it the equable
•~π~•
The ready yes & flattering yay
small is the difference they display
But marks their issue good & ill
What space the gulf between shall fill
How deep & unfathomable it is
That of the minds excellence
The grandest forms of active force
From the nameless comes only one source
•~π~•
Who can of the nameless of nature tell
Our sight it fries our touch as well
Eluding sight, eluding touch
The form of things all in a crutch
Eluding touch eluding sight
They are their semblances all right
{This is the nature of the nameless}
•~π~•
As to one channel flows the many drains
All come yea all beneath the sky
Thus the constant excellence retains
The simple child again free from all stains
Who knows how the glory shines
Yet loves disgrace nor eer for it is pale
Behold this presence in a spaceless vail
