Tumultuous times such as this,
Where every pre-conceived notion is thrown to the winds,
Where mornings turn to nights
And days to weeks,
Being cooped up in our homes,
Where the live concerts turn to virtual gigs,
Where rather than winding up ur day in a pub,
Chilling with ur dear ones is the new normal;
Where the earlier untouchable sanitation workers turn to God-like warriors,
And the oh so controversial doctors are revered;
When some old tastes reignite and some new ones are acquired;
Where the formal handshakes are being replaced by Namastes and bows;
Where masks and sanitizers have become the new gold
And the real gold so insignificant;
Where everyone is actually realizing the importance of every grain of food;
Realising the repurcussions of our atrocities on the environment.
Perceptions are being changed,
And everyone is having an opinion.
Social media platforms have become the new jamming stations,
And balconies the new setting;
It is when we are realising the actual stance of being united and helping those in need,
This lockdown has taught us many things
But mostly the love for our dear ones,
And our freedom which we have always taken for granted.
We may not be able to go back to those old times,
But adapting is something that we the mankind are best at and have to live with;
So that one day we may proudly say to our future generations that we played a big part in curbing this pandemic
