I walked down the street
In the dead of the night
The stars were shining bright
But my heart was full of fright
I couldn't shake the feeling
That something was not right
The air was thick and heavy
And my vision was blurred from sight
Suddenly I heard a sound
A whisper in my ear
I turned around to find
No one was standing near
My heart began to race
As I realized I was alone
I tried to run but stumbled
And fell to the ground like a stone
I felt my life slipping away
As I gasped for my last breath
The darkness consumed me
As I slipped into the arms of death
The night was silent again
As my body lay on the ground
My soul had left this world
And no longer could be found
So remember me, dear friends
As you walk the streets at night
For you never know when death
Will come and steal your light.
