The Opposite of All

POET: John D.K Fatorma
POEM: 'The Opposite of All'
They will come in peace but leave in war.
They will talk carefully but react carelessly.
They will campaign politely but account sarcastically.
They run after the people but the people will run after them.
They will come as saints but driven as thieves.
They will define the holes but get the holes deeper.
They will plant trees but get them cut secretly.
They will serve as good critics but poor demonstrators.
They will point a finger but direct the rest at them.
They will wear a smile in opposition but wear a frown in power.
They will escape poverty but oppress others to remain.
They will create laws but stand against the laws.
They will control their emotions but their emotions control them later.
They will criticize greed but greed magically becomes their true definition.
They will need divers but their families will be exempted.
Oh! Who can save this surviving but dying clan?
It has been like this for ages but deprived than ever before.
Many came as its Moses but picked up its fruits and got vanished.
Now the chains look so strong but cannot tie up a dog.
Your only assurance is the breed of new itching lips.
So hold on cold, and nurse purely another fine grain of genuine heart.
Your wounds are so terrible but will get healed by unprecedented prescription.
Lose no hope for it shall be permanently well.
