The Orchestra
It so quiet it feels peaceful The only sound around me is the exhale of breath hitting cold air and condensing. A chickadee shaders the tranquillity as it flys by so close I hear its wings slicing the air with each beat.Just as it lands the sun creeps over the horizon and gives me warm good morning. It’s like the world woke up in-sync.

The chickadee starts to sing sounding like a aerophone instrument. The percussion starts with rat-a-tat of a wood pecker near by.Then the brass starts playing with the call of an elk. Quickly followed by wolves howling sounding like a strings quartet. I sit and listen watching the sun hold the spot of the conductor while its orchestra plays.

Just another winter’s day.
