In the dawn of time, long before now,
A species roamed the earth, Homo erectus, the OG.
With strength and skill, they hunted and gathered,
Their minds and bodies are finely honed and fashioned.
Theirs was a world of fire and stone,
Of rugged landscapes and ancient bones.
They walked the earth, tall and proud,
Theirs was a story yet to be told, unspoken, unbowed.
But as the ages passed and civilizations rose,
Homo erectus disappeared, their story untold.
But in the fossil record, their legacy lives on,
A reminder of the past, forever gone.
Though they are gone, their memory lives on,
In the stories of the past, in the songs that we've sung.
For Homo erectus, the OG,
Will forever be remembered, in history's annals.
