The passing of a loved one, still lurks around the hallways in the old ancient- like home.
One strange lady she was, her attachment to the owner, was left alone.
No other women were allowed to enter this place.
She knew everyone by face.
Her husband still sits in his old rocking chair.
Much older now, with snow white colored hair.
He hears his wife calling his name.
The caretakers wrote him down as insane.
As he sits in that rocking chair one stormy night.
His wife pops in his face, which gave him a fright.
Next day came,
He didn't seem the same.
As the nurse came,
She decided to stay the night.
She watches his battles, as he lived through his fights.
During the evening, he awoke with a touch on his shoulder.
The picture on the wall had fallen to the floor, the air became colder.
The caretaker ran to his side, and saw him in tears.
He missed his beautiful wife,
Death is what he feared.
His wife's spirit was standing right beside him, and he felt her presence there.
He smiled, because those tears, were happy ones, in a flash of seconds, she disappeared into thin air.
In the middle of the night,
He couldn't take the loss of his wife.
Haunting him each and every night.
That's when he took his pills,
As his eyes got heavy, he headed for the hills.
Next morning came, as the nurse entered the room.
There he lay, cold and blue.
With a note that was laying there for her to.
I couldn't take the pain no more.
I was tired of seeing her,
It made my heart sore.
I didn't want to live anymore.
Now as the years go by, that house still sits as no one dares to enter.
As it's haunted by the ones who took their lives.
The nurse just disappeared,
And most of all, that is what people had feared.
