The last scripture given that struck me the most was "Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings." Isaiah 3:10. This message that pastor mallet gave was quite hilarious when he said there are others just sitting at home watching television feeding their faces with popcorn, chips, and ice cream while being on the conference line having their phones on mute, not getting focus in the word and prayer. God really spoke to me through that message that you are what you eat. We have to eat God's Word up. Let the word of God speak to us. Put on some spiritual weight. We all must push our plates back. I do not have a problem pushing my plate back and getting in the word more. But as a coffee drinker every morning, I have to push my coffee mug back and get focused on the word. We must have an appetite for the word. We have to learn how to pull away from our daily tendencies. Have a balance, and get more engaged in the word, prayer, and meditation. I thank God so much for our weekly challenges given by Towannah Graves. It keeps me occupied and focused on the word. The challenges also keep my hand bible open at all times on the table. I do not close my hand Bible anymore because if I do, I will forget it and lose that focus. I am taking God's word more seriously now and applying it to my life every day. I am always hungry for God’s word because “God’s words” is so “powerful.”
