O

The Price Of Freedom

Grew up in the dusty roads of my Kasi.
Going to school with hopes and dreams to Get out of my hood, by all means
No matter how long it takes.
I will get out of here.
Now I'm done with my Matric,
Wanna go to University and further my Studies.
I cant afford to pay for the fees.
And then they came,
Driving nice expensive cars,
Promised me Heaven and Earth.
Promised me to work without my qualifications.
All I had to do was give them the pleasant pleasure.
I thought it was a once off thing,
But then nah, it was a life time thing.
They said they own me,
They said I play by their rules
I must never go against them.
I have a lot at stake,
My family depends on me,
That money I get, provides for us.
It's our only way to survive
Worst of it all, no one knows.
And they shall never find out.
