I am staring at this woman,
Broken, beat and sad,
Tears rolling down her snowwhite face,
Her eyes filled with disgrace,
I was confused and dazed not knowing what to say,
All that could escape my mouth was:" what made you feel this way?",
And when the woman finally spoke,
my heart stopped for awhile,
Because I saw my own lips move and here is what I had to say:
"You were so busy making another happy that you never stopped to smile,
You cared and loved and trusted and could not even see,
that every moment you were trying so hard to be loved,
the person that loves you most was falling apart"
And then I saw the logic in what she said,
because you see dear friends if ever you are stumbling, or feel that you have failed,
just stare at your reflection, the answers are detailed,
Whatever you are not changing,
you are choosing for yourself,
And by forgetting to love yourself,
you believe the lies you're told,
until you feel so lonely, your whole life starts to fold.
