...The Regns of a Woman..

On the Banoye Green hill
once lived a woman strong and steel
she was wise, cunning in all her deal
she created her culture in town on hill
All men before her must kneel
also needed to do all for a meal
cooking for everyone to their stomach fill
even fetching firewood not at their will
when in bush men gather plan to kill
the woman powerful like an eel
a hole under her royal chair drill
covered to seal the deal
the royal stood next to her death pill
as men ready to celebrate the odeal
she sat and down the hole she grill
as men with stones stood to fill
and put an end to royal woman on hill
let's sleep Adan tomorrow we go to the mill
I watch as grand father Godana was carried away by his sleep pills.
(this a story from Borana community of Kenya, I decided to put it in poetry form)
Ako Banoye_ she is a famous Borana woman who allowed women to rest while men in cooking, looking after baby and fetch fire wood during her regn. it's believed she used men to sit on their back like a chair.
