THE REQUIEM

THE REQUIEM

•π•

Underneath the veil

was a killing power,

Only a cursed love could retain.

I lent it a vision and a voice,

And pleaded in

the greatest moment of need.

•π•

Carved into time,

Desperate cries, feed the fire.

The burning desire!

To rob human life.

In this world full of

fear of the unknown.

Twisting our perception

Because we are weak.

Lying to progress,

only achieving greed.

•π•

Elegies are to be sung

Winds of armageddon come

Ignorance within our bliss

Soon we will atone for this

In our carcinogenic haze

Baneful of a newer age

Flowers of a different scent

Poisons of the earths lament

•π•

Seated behind the veil

sun-myths bleed into one.

Searching for a saviour

to lead us through this life.

Where our sanity is undone.

•π•

Killing against our will.

Killing To be complete

Killing for the maker.

(The non existent)

Salvation so bittersweet

the taste brought fear

to our tongues.

Take another deeper breath-

Inhale invisible death.

•π•

Pollution fills the land and sky-

Forever we justify.

Take a deeper look and see-

Nothing's left to future seeds.

Icicles melt into blood.

Ashes where there

once was wood.

•π•

It seems no one

can redeem themselves,

Can anyone be saved?

In a dying world filled

with enslavement and

the endless apathy of pain .

A tortured past and

not much future

a tattered earth remains,

( destitute and alone in madness)

•π•

Burial for the living!

Our earth stripped of wealth.

Burial of the living!

Our bodies drained of life.

•π•

(In a world full of enemies,

I'm an enemy of our image)

•π•

Pain of life has

pulled us under.

Left us there-

to bleed and wonder.

Open heart left-

torn asunder.

Wrong the wrongs that

we've been suffered.

Kill we scream in

roaring thunder.

( Destroy all)

leave all things plundered.

•π•

Now burn the

sorrow filled days of disease,

the faceless shadows arise.

Acid rain cries

Mothers pain in Full bloom,

a world gone insane

Her anger the flower

•π•

(A requiem)

Earth belongs not to us

Belong all we, to her
