The Rewritten Chapter
a new chapter has begun
i feel like i’ve won,
im still keeping my guard up
just in case things go corrupt,
“i don’t know if this is fate”
i still remember those words,
although it was years ago
i never found it absurd,
somehow we’re together again
those words reoccur in my brain,
this is a familiar lane
but with a better domain,
our lives are different
we’ve been through a lot separately,
this could be heaven-sent
or end painfully,
we’re both vulnerable,
so things feel comfortable,
i’ll always be there for you
even if you decide to move..
