The armies of the Sultan of Ottoman,
Lay outside the Roman fortifier.
He was the new Amir.
The new Sultan.
He knew Rome would rank his accession.
And capture the world's attention.
He bombarded the walls,
In large and in smalls.
With a Canon and fireballs.
The Romans were terrified,
With a fear of being crushed
When their walls would be defiled.
Roma was now unified,
And no longer stratified.
The rich, the poor in the face of death were all horrified.
Sultan launched an assault,
In a suspected side of fault.
Only for Rome to repulse.
And buy some time for their skulls.
The Ottoman's were in despair.
Now their enemies were aware.
Sultan had to strike Rome and definitely impair.
Both Romans and Ottomans were in prayer,
Hoping God to charge their affairs.
It was a game of strategy,
A war of patience.
A bit of psychology
And more of acquaintance.
It was no longer about affluence
As money and gold were now in defiance.
The war was intense,
As thousands perished.
Rome was still in defence,
And sultan was undiminished.
It took months for Rome to fall,
With no aid to call.
For the ottomans alot of wit,
The sultan knew his limits.
Roma fell
To the hands of the Persians,
And her citizens left in aversion.
Stay tuned for the next episode 😉
