dark purple flows upon
the ground where kings
and soldiers die
where halo’s of gold
float above their graves
In that holy ground
with honors written
in runes of red upon the
stones that they describe
and rows upon rows of
sacrifice of the living
now the forgotten dead
who when they passed their
oath of allegiance shared
the sacrament of death
