The Sailor

There was once a sailor who loved to roam the seas but before God he was the first to fall to his knees
Not focused on his inner this sailor was a well-known sinner
The patience of the sailor got thinner as time went on and the hunger of his people grew
In the eyes of his beggars the sailor was looked at as their savior so in his presence they were always on their best behavior
The sailor new his people would soon meet their demise but he had not a care considering the friendships that been given were based on lies
Sadness seemed to know the sellers face too well, he would always cry and silent but when accused he did not refuse to get violent
What was once the face of a loving and caring man turned out to be one he could no longer understand
When the sailor took a good look in the mirror he realized in that moment that he was facing his biggest fear
He saw this soulless demonic figure staring at him back dead in the eye
He knew he had to save all that was left before those last pieces lose life and die
