There once lived a troll
Who lived at the base of a ridge
She mined gems from her soul
And sold them across the bridge
The folks there knew her well
But were still wary of her
Her kind must have been from hell
- Minions from the Devil's lair
She could see it on their faces
The suspicions when they stare
Hostility slinged in catchphrases
Gradually caused her to despair
Why the prejudice against other races
She questioned the withering glares
She sought answers for blank spaces
Till it dawned on her no one cares
Little Mary no longer brought daisies
The last reply she got was a curse
The pain of rejection seldom erases
Till you drown and can no more immerse
To her people were shiny souless chassis
But to leave ghost town she wouldn't dare
Deep down she knew of all the places
This was where she needed to sell her wares.
