the sound of silence
silence is an emptiness that isn't so empty. silence fills the room somber and heavy, or happy and tender. silence lets me realize who I am without the commotion of the outside world. silence lets my thoughts come out. silence can be a cold, stiffening, overwhelming air. or it can be a sense of home where I let my emotions out. silence gave me the worst parts of me. but silence, in all its beautiful glory taught me all the amazing lessons I've learned in life. and I learned how to be me again. all with absolutely nothing but silence.
