The Story I Write
When life feels stuck and dreams seem far
And I just drift, beneath my own scar
Time slips away, fears draw near
Faster and louder, they whisper in my ear
I waste my days, afraid to try
While silent hopes just pass me by
But deep inside, a voice begins
Think of you, that’s where it begins.
Not what they think, not what they say
Their noise can’t shape my chosen way
I’ll hold my pen, both heart and mind
And write the story I wish to find
The present dark won’t dim my sight
I’ll lead my path toward my light
The fear once near now drifts away
For I’ve begun to find my way
