Even in broad daylight we see them
'Roaming' in tatters
Fighting for survival
But when they come stretching their hands in search of a coin
we see them as burden
And when evening comes, they hides near bins
Not caring so much about the filthy conditions
Innocently seeking refuge
Protecting the streets and themselves
Fighting to be in a community
On dirt they lay every night
Not knowing what tomorrow brings
But hoping it comes brighter
Sometimes hoping it never comes
All on our watch
Yet we call ourselves life savers
We run to save people from burning buildings
But who ever runs to save lives on the streets?
So we let them fight their battles ,with nothing and no one by themselves
And when a day comes and a dead body is found
We take pity on them for a while then get back to being dogs
Because humanity is lost in all humans
