A man walks into the supermarket
Shopping for milk and cereal
He strolls down the aisle quietly
He's a mellow guy and peaceful
As he gets to the section he wants
He notices a woman standing there
He pretends he doesn't see her
Looking at the boxes to compare
The woman sees the man now
She quickly glances and turns away
Her mind dances as she smiles
Very handsome, she thought, yay!
She thinks of a way to converse
Her heart beating rapid and fast
She sees that he's looking at cereal
And thought- I know what I'll ask
She takes a deep breath and exhales
Nervously she says excuse me sir
I couldn't help notice but correct me
But are you also a cereal connoisseur
The man replys yes yes I sure am
Breakfast is important for energy
I like the kind with granola and nuts
As he speaks he feels a synergy
He's talking but lost in her eyes
Mumbling now he can't think
Her beauty has him incoherent
She can tell and subtly gives a wink
Bashfully he asks if she's busy later
Intrigued she responds not at all
Now she waits for him to ask her out
Excited now and very enthralled
He questions would you like a drink?
Surprisingly she responds with no
Confused now and so devastated says
It was good to meet you though
She laughs and says not a drink
I had something else in mind
Now puzzled he wants to know
I like breakfast if you'll be so kind
He says great how about the morning
She says that would be good
But if you pick me up tonight
Breakfast is better in bed, understood
Blushing and smiling he laughs
Can I write down your address
They exchanged numbers too
And the story goes... You guessed
