The Toxic Dance

Confrontation breeds bitter wrath and strife,
A toxic dance where blame infects each life.
In this vortex, anger roars like a blaze,
Consuming all kindness, setting hearts ablaze.
Eyes lock fiercely, words sharp as carving knives,
Accusations thrown, scarring endless lives.
No room for empathy, no space for grace,
Only bitterness and rage, firmly in place.
You point your finger, lay blame at my feet,
Ignoring your own part, so indiscreet.
No responsibility, no fault you own,
A master of manipulation, well honed.
To be consumed by anger, sealed with hate.
I rise above your words, your twisted game,
So go on, throw your daggers, fling your stones,
For I stand strong in spite of your harsh tones.
I'll break this cycle, severing the chains,
For anger's hold on me, it no longer reigns.
