The grass is greener on the other side
This were the words that led to dismay
We try to turn a new leaf
But it seems impossible
What more those life have to offer?
This was the question that ran through our minds
Little did we know that the answer lies within us
But if only we had a knowledge of it
We wouldn't have to say all are vanities upon vanities
It seemed fun when we took this side
The pleasures of life were indeed interesting
Little did we know that this waywardness was temporary
Because it was our downfall calling unto us
The perfect life was right in front of us
All we had to do was embrace it
Moreover, vanities upon vanities, all are vanities
The lustful desires for the things of life broke us apart
From the smokes that damage our lungs
To the lust for women that defraud us
From the riots at clubs that cost our lives
To the urge for premarital sex that sometimes lead to STD'S
From the mindset of being like everyone else
To the pressure from our peers that lead us astray
It may be too late to realize this
But this are the vanities of life
