The WereFolk

We hail every sunset,
And howl at the moon,
We roam the Saharas,
On blood afternoons.
We run with the wild ones,
For wilds what we are,
No distance set near us,
For nearer is far.
We hail every sunset,
And brim at its seams,
No matter the visions,
We speak to our dreams.
For what that flows through us,
Hath came from the sky,
And speaks from the ancients,
We live as they die.
And what hath renewed us,
As dew every day,
Revives with the morning,
So guiding our way.
We hail every sunset,
For solemn as song,
We follow the footprints,
And tarry along.
