What is one's will?
Is it
Inspiration,
A powerful force
That moves one to action?
Motivation,
The energy that
Keeps one goin?
Determination,
The strength to never stop
Til you've reached the top?
What inspires you to move?
What motivates you to yourself prove?
What makes you determined not to lose what you've
Worked so hard for?
Is it success or the fame,
To have lights outline your name?
Or is it to make a difference
By going the distance,
maybe even to save a life?
What defines you?
The setbacks, the heartbreaks, the mistakes?
Is it what others say about you, even though it isn't true?
Or is it that you've been made new,
Arms equipped to break a bronze bow in two?
I have a dream of a better future,
Free from sadness, pain, and madness.
I pray for the courage to break these fetters.
I know I'm the only one stopping me, because I can do all things through Him who sets me free.
I pray we have the will
To do something truly great.
I believe that we have it in us still,
We don't have to surrender to fate.
There's nothing more powerful in a human than the will of his heart;
To make a change all you have to do is start.
