I'm being taunt. Taunt by a world that says I have to be perfect. Perfect is all that matters to society now. So, it's fine to be taunted that way.
I pick an outfit that hopefully won't get taunts thrown at me for. But that’s normal. I make myself look better, because it's all that matters.
I get a perfect score on the test I cheated on, because it is what makes me prideful. That’s what everyone wants to feel for them self, right?
I make sure I sit with the right people, the ones who have 100+ followers on Instagram because that’s the smart thing to decision. I won't get shamed for this, will I?
But then later that night I realize: I wore the clothes that told me I'm more beautiful. I cheated on a test; so it's grade could tell me I'm smarter I sat with people who are better than others; just so I knew I was getting attention.
And now, I'm realizing that the person who did all that was not me. It was a person who begged to be perfect. In a community, society, a world, that pleaded guilty to me if I didn't do any of those things. I was no human, I was just a figure walking past the real humans. I told myself I was beautiful. I was better. I was popular. When I really told myself: I'm a terrible person. I am worse than the lone wolf who sat in the corner with a light completion. I obviously am a person who is less famous than someone who made a change in life that actually had a point. I am no figure now, I realise what I have done to make myself think: Why am I even using the word "myself"?!
But that’s okay. It's how it is in the world today anyways.
