I've had an experience...
I met lovely friends...
I met dreadful enemies...
I met pretenders...
I made mistakes...
I learnt from them...
Some tried to fuck my life up...
But I lifted myself up...
Some broke my heart..
But I healed piece by piece..
Some tried to take an advantage of me...
But I learnt to say "No!"...
Some tried to pretend, but I cut them off..
I was once a boy, and I'm now a grown man,
I'm grateful for the gift of life,
I'm grateful for the friends I've made...
I'm grateful for my mistakes...
I'm grateful for my ups and downs..
And I'm grateful for who I am!
I'm grateful that I'm still on the side of God.
