"Then (20th Century)"
A group of adults sitting together,
chatting away with glee,
discussing matters with one other,
talking happily
In the little park of that town,
a bunch of kids you'd see,
chasing others, throwing balls,
some of the same age as me
Neighbourhoods had special meetings,
social interaction was at it's peak,
people brought food to each others house,
they protected all those who seemed weak
In those days, vacations were spent,
having picnics, playing all day,
children were totally immersed in sports,
having fun in every possible way
"Now (21st Century)"
With our noses in our phones,
socialization is none,
no friendly community gatherings,
nothing really fun
Vacations come and the children pick,
mobiles so games they can play,
to electronics, they contonuously stick,
they themselves ruin their day
No one bothers to play in parks,
with kidnappers and terrorists on the loose,
to those sleepovers we can say bye,
children have grown lazy, all day they snooze !
Taking food to neighbours' homes,
nowadays, it has become history,
what has caused this sudden change,
more or less it's a mystery
