these tears of joy flood my face,
you are now at home in a better place.
life as we know it will still carry on,
because of you, we will always be strong.
this is a beautiful thing, an unexpected shift,
you were so loving, your life was our gift.
as the world turns, your soul is free,
reunited with your loved ones, is how it should be.
and as we live and raise our own,
we will teach them what we learned from our dear sweet Joan.
