They will never understand why you isolate yourself from the world
They would never comprehend your fears, for they are yours alone
They will never understand you, truth be told
Nobody understands how you can be fearful, yet externally, you appear to be super bold
Each of us rank our problems relative to others, thus humanity has turned cold
Humans without humanity? I call them bodies with no souls
Hopelessness, skeptical thoughts and pessimistic minds is what they unfold
They will never understand why you lock yourself in your room and cry your lungs out
For at the end of the day, you are a ‘man’, with a naturally embedded, but concealed clout
Your gender expectations are, even when angry, just smile and show no doubt
Such a twisted world, classifications prioritized over what we cannot live without
Gender equity, power debates going in roundabouts
I never understood what was feminine and masculinity all about
For I believe in humanity, and that deserves a shout out
Thus, nobody will understand, if I say,” I too need a timeout”
They will never understand why you need to take antidepressants
They can never fathom how you became an enemy to your own thoughts,
How your survival on substances is a dependent
They will never understand how precious you are,
And their ‘not understanding’ reflection unto you is unpleasant
They will never understand why you feel so rejected
Why you feel so unwanted when they are in your presence
Perhaps they will understand when you have kicked the bucket
When you have consumed, all at once, three packs of tablets
It will all come clear, when they are in tears
Even though they didn’t appreciate you while you were present
They will understand when you leave this world, and leave behind no descendant
