Thinking

Thinking about them old days
When I was always blazed
My eyes all glazed
Mom always called me out in my crazed state
sometimes me and the homies ate
Other times we couldn't wait
constantly waiting on that eighth
slowly losing faith
the devil slowly gripping my soul
lord only knows how dull
my beautiful soul he created he watched it take its toll
He knew I lost control
lost track of all my goals
my precious children watched my life unfold
wondering why mommy became so cold
how the household became a traphouse
When they played in the treehouse
mom was in and out the jailhouse
They started getting bad grades at the schoolhouse
slowly everything I had was gone and I had nothing else but God
I reached for him thanking him
He reached out told me that this wasnt gonna be easy as he pulled my first limb from good ole grim
Even the grim reaper was gonna give in he loved making me feel victim
the chances were slim
I couldnt give up I had to swim
like I was a fish without one fin
with my head up high and my chin never touching my chest
I never gave it a rest
my depression at its highest I slowly became strong and I must confess Gods blessings brought me to rest among the best!
