A

This is for a friend of mine that died.

I'll never know why the world hates,
Those who just want to make it a better place.
I will never know why,
Good people die.
Why does the good man die?
The bad man thrive?
And why does Jesus cry?
Because he loves them both.
But true love would protect another,
And showing care would be to save a brother.
But neither did God do,
When he took you from me.
When you showed me what the world will do.
I wish I was with them in heaven,
But you locked me in here,
Where true love is deadened.
Why didn't you take my soul,
If you're in control?
Take me as well,
For it would be better than this hell.
Why did you do this?
Why did you let them die?
People talk of the blessed peace,
But I'm going insane in this lie.
I know they're happy now,
But I'm not.
I know they're free now,
But I don't give that a thought.
I think you stole from me,
The one thing I loved,
When in all reality,
It is them you have freed.
I know you want to have them with You,
But isn't forever enough?
Or do you have to break love so true,
To satisfy your own desire?
You could've shared them You know,
Just let them grow.
But you took them too early,
And I can't have them anymore.
I'm stuck in this world unfreely.
With my heart feeling so poor.
Show me why you took them,
Maybe I can understand,
Why you didn't also take me.
