This world works its butt off

all these things we change
This world
does it's best to revolve us
moving this merry go round
around the clock
as we
tick tick tock
with all of these amounting problems
and there's always a scarry sonething
waiting
and this world does it's best
trying to stop fires again
from starting up
and makin sure babies
have food on their plates again
and they say momma
for the first time
and this world does it best
to get people well again
makin miracles
out of thin air
with the machine turned off there
then they wake up and smile again
and we can built up faith
from nothing at all
and this world works
it butt off
so we don't ever fall off
