Countless nights have passed me by,
Since the day I had to say goodbye.
Yet memories of you hit me down,
Like a stormy sea that wears me down.
When I look up at the stars at night,
Their twinkling light reminds me of your eyes so bright.
And the moon above, with its lonely glow,
Seems to kiss you with each passing rainbow.
I can almost feel your presence near,
As I dream of holding you oh so dear.
And I know that if you were in my arms,
I would keep you safe from all harm.
I would love you with a love so true,
A love that would never come undone or be untrue.
