Where there was once a void, the space has now been filled
My heart is now beating to the rhythm of happiness
Feelings of despair are long gone
I now have the feeling of peace that I've sought for so long
Pain is no longer buried inside of me...
And I'm not haunted by feelings of insecurity
Fear isn't holding me back anymore...
Lost opportunities have turned to new beginnings and unopened doors
That girl that I once was has blossomed into a Queen
She's no longer keeping herself from reaching for her dreams
The tears have ceased that once flowed from her eyes
No more sleepless nights or unanswered cries
My vision is no longer obstructed by uncertainty
And I'm not bitter towards all the people that hurt me
No longer watching myself waste away every day
And I refuse to let the unexpected storms of life get in my way
I became a miserable person that I began to despise
But I'm a different person now and I see life through her eyes
I see through the eyes of a strong Black Queen
A Queen that's building her empire and accomplishing her dreams
I'm beginning to love myself more and more
I won't make the mistake of being my biggest setback anymore~
