When I was five
I thought youth was forever-the concept of ageing not within my spirits grasp.
I remember when I was five I stood by a window.
It's canvas glowing from external light as darkness surrounded me.
Why did we believe it last forever.
For Time for you and me is nothing but heart break and tragedy.
The room was cold, the light warm peeping through blinds.
From in front nostalgia.
Lies.
They told themselves they could out live time, I told myself I could out shine it.
In pain we thought nostalgia would save us. But you still move.
I thought youth was forever.
In that room-the darkness never scared me-
The light of fate did.
Time.
Like that room cold like outside the womb I can say that.
No mercy-only you have to achieve it on your own.
You last forever alone.
Time.
When I was five I thought youth was eternal.
Eternal our memories are.
Those reading this poem feel nothing yet-but with Time.
Light They'll understand.
