What if nothing really happens for a reason?
What if we're all just souls, struggling for control?
Reaching for comfort with hands that are meant to carry the world, ignoring the possibility that we weren't built for sunshine.
Does it ever crush you?
The weight of knowing there could be something bigger.
The curse of thinking there's something breathtaking in the light of day.
What if there isn't anything?
What if, when our frail fingers scratch the barrier between life and death, we become so very alone?
What if everything on the other side is bright?
We wake up to find ourselves in the midst of blinding colours breaking our sanity, corrupting our thoughts until that's all there is.
Colour.
If I were to be honest... I'd rather stay in the dark.
