We met at a crossroad,
She got burned,
I was stoned,
We both felt pain,
Though we were from different worlds,
I told her Id be there for her,
I'd heal her wounds,
And seek the one that left her bruised,
She smiled and glanced at me,
Said what about your wounds,
With a shocking face I looked at myself,
I forgot about my past when her beauty struck my face,
If I was left for dead I'd arise once again,
Just to make sure her happiness was intent,
But as we know life can be a mess,
And things could get out of hand in the end,
Before I could grab her something to rest on,
She was gone left me with no signal like out of space,
All that's left is me and my thoughts of her,
And if she is finally happy with or without a man involved.
