Johnny Tittle was a bright, bright lad
Bright, bright future ahead of him had
Was well lik'd by people both young n old
Was kind n generous - or so I was told
He always wud smile, was always polite
Cud always discern a wrong from a right
He wud feed the poor, stray animals too
His visits to the elderly were never overdue
Johnny never grew angry, never complain'd
From the many a vices away he remain'd
Gaug'd his carbon footprints by ridin a bike
Was ador'd by his peers n employer alike
Johnny had a fair job n earn'd a fair pay
Not a bad word the public of Johnny cud say
Then oneday -
Johnny got mail from the law firms n bank
"Dear, Mr. Tittle we aught to be frank -
With ur mortgage n bulgin bills behind,
Some other place to live u'll have to find.
We've confiscat'd everythin of value to u.
Nice doin business - we bid u adieu!"
How was this possible! When did it begin?
I put my trust in others, is that such a sin!
Johnny was frantic, Johnny was sad!
First time in his life that Johnny got mad!
He pull'd at his hair, stuck out his tongue!
Cuss'd n fuss'd 'til he burst his left lung!
Over the craz'd edge he had swiftly slipp'd
With a blunt blade his heart they had ripp'd
Instinctively Tittle knew what next to do
If he was goin down he'd punish others too
He got hold of a club, a gun n a knife
Beat, shot n stabb'd at anything that'd life
Never had Tittle felt alive as he did
Y waste time doin good? Do bad instead!
Perhaps there's a lesson in this tale we drew
Take heed, dear reader -
There might be a Tittle in u too!
