A girl sits by the window,
Watching the boy from afar.
Her heart is heavy with sorrow,
As she waits for him to come.
She remembers the days of laughter,
The moments they shared in the sun.
But now he's gone and she's left waiting,
Hoping he'll return before the day is done.
She watches as the leaves fall gently,
Dancing in the autumn breeze.
And still she waits with patience,
For the boy she loves to return to her with ease.
But as the night begins to deepen,
And the stars light up the sky,
She knows he may not come back to her,
And with a heavy heart she begins to cry.
Yet still she waits,
Hoping against hope that he'll appear.
For in her heart she knows,
That her love for him is true and sincere.
