If you've been stitched up as often as me
Friends bad enough but family are worse
They’ll still owe you money when you’re in that damn hearse
They’ll give you a bit and then they’ll forget
In a very short time the loan you'll regret
You try now'n again to give them a hint
And they'll tell you that bill paying has left them all skint
I never get angry and demand them to pay
But it’s been much longer than a year and a day
I'm beginning to think that I've wrote off the loan
They’re the ones broke so I'm not going to moan
The money I lent was from a lump sum
From the Army In payment for the things that I'd done
You may think forgetting It would make me a gem
But they need the money and I really love them
