To whom it may concern

The truth lies beyond the unseen
A slither of hope lights up the night
What others say are his strange plans
Yet can not be seen with mortal sight
He passes judgement yet never speaks
A cowering figure in the dark
No explanations come our way
Or answers to our hidden spark
Whispers of his mighty hand
Reach us through deafening cries
Telling us how we're to live
But muddled are our wistful sighs
We seek recompense of his wrath
Long to feel its searing heat
What justice will bring us release
If just a fool's errand so sweet?
Perhaps his ways are truly divine
Yet illusive is this mystery
Uncover the truth of the unforeseen
But acceptance transforms the wake of history.
