This is for all of you who think that writers or even those ordinary people who write something on social media and in their diaries or journals are all just people who complain and whose efforts are merely pointless... I write this for you so you'd know and realize and please do reflect upon it - WRITE is a VERB. Therefore, WRITING MEANS MAKING AN ACTION.
Words are never futile. Sure, there are writers don't bring an issue directly to the person 'in charge'. But NO, our efforts are not pointless. If you think or see our writings that way, I am sorry to tell you this, but it might be because of your failure to understand the purpose of what we wrote.
Writers mostly write to express, explain, describe, inspire, spread awareness, make people question, think, or realize, theorize, suggest or criticize, speak, stand, and/or fight for him/herself, others, or everyone, etc.
Do not underestimate the power of someone's words and say "tsk, you think you many things to say but you don't act."
When people write something, we are leaving a part of us to share for the world. We are giving birth to our thoughts, ideas, opinions, and stories that once born will forever be immortalized even after we pass away. From generations to generations, it will be left here...continuously making an impact in a person's life one way or another.
If you think writers don't contribute something for this world because they don't take action... Please think about it again.
That's like saying those book authors should've just become professional teachers, those medical writers should've just become a doctor, those songwriters should've just become singers, and that the God should've just stayed physically alive to teach and save us face to face instead of guiding those wrote the Bible just so people like you can consider such as 'making real action.'
Do you understand now?
So to all kinds of writers out there, KEEP ON WRITING. KEEP ON MAKING AN ACTION. KEEP CREATING AN IMPACT
KEEP CONTRIBUTING SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL TO THIS WORLD. WRITE.
