I've had friends a half a world away
Distance kept us not from chatting
Today I've a friend close but far

Masks over our face
Giving another 6' of space
Being together a rarity
So much tension there'll be,
Video chatting may be nice
Though you can't kiss your love twice

Thousands grip out of fear,
Even when this is all over
A new people will appear
A people born from panic
How many will draw you near???
My most cherished friend and I email
Sharing good and bad
Sharing happiness and sorrow
She may live but a mile away
We will not meet on any tomorrow...
