I saw people holding hands
I saw families embracing

We planned towards it
We anticipated it
We rejoiced over it
It crept quietly
Quietly it came upon us
and the inevitable happened
We thought we had all angles covered
We couldn't escape the inevitable
We were couldn't bring everyone together
We were never together
Who can escape the inevitable
He couldn't
We thought they would come back
before the inevitable came knocking
I couldn't even see him
They covered him up
The tears never left me
We never came together
We only came together because of the inevitable
