Of the many foods
That set my heart aglow?
Few can match a sauce
Made with fresh tomato,
There's the beefstake and plum
Then of course the cherry
In salads, salsa, or sauce
Not bad for a deadly berry,
The English thought it was poison
For it was similar to a berry
Eat a couple of those
To your grave six will carry,
They add a semi-sweet taste
Can bring life to a bland dish
I like to add onion and peppers
To my grill cheese sandwich,
As you can plainly see
Of all the veggies I know
Few romance me
Like the tasty tomato,
{How many toes do you have
I have tomatoes
